Founded on faith, integrity and true grit, Bar JB Ranch Ltd. is a fifth generation family ranch and feedlot that relocated from Alberta to southeast Saskatchewan in 2011. We, Cam and Tracy Buyer have been actively involved in all aspects of the cattle business our entire lives. This includes large scale domestic cattle production, custom feeding and international purebred distribution. We currently run a large commercial herd of cattle along side our 6000 head feedlot, providing clients the opportunity for ranch raised calves to be placed directly into the feedlot.
Our eldest son, Eric and wife Kaylee are actively involved with the day to day management and operation of the feedlot. Eric is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in AgBusiness and Risk Management. Eric and Kaylee run their own herd of commercial cattle and enjoy weekend penning and sortings on the horses raised and trained by Kaylee. Our youngest son, Tyson provides veterinary support from his large animal practice located beside our ranch. As a professional Agrologist, his wife Ashley is regularly called upon to provide crop production support. Tyson and Ashley enjoy their weekends on the golf course and camping with their two daughters, Brynlee Stella and Jayla Tracy (our sixth generation). Bar JB Ranch Ltd. is a progressive, forward minded business that strives to produce beef in a profitable and sustainable manner. We continue to seek out innovative ways to improve the quality of the global beef supply. We believe in community involvement and support. We work long hours when needed, enjoy Sunday afternoon bbq's and encourage strong work ethic, stable morals and a "ranch family" atmosphere. |
