FEEDLOT PEN CHECKER/HERD HEALTH STAFF:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Currently seeking person with some cattle experience to ride through pens and spot for sickness, pull and treat cattle. Looking for someone with some cattle disease knowledge and willingness to develop that knowledge. Other duties will include shipping, processing, corral maintenance, bedding within the feedlot. Should be able to work well with others.
DAILY RESPONSIBITIES:
- Check pens on a horse when possible (on foot when needed) as directed by manager
- Follow treatment protocol as outlined by veterinarian
- Follow safe livestock handling procedures
- Report broken fences, broken or frozen water bowls, bunk concerns, etc that could affect herd health or safety of cattle and assist in repair when available
- Process cattle upon arrival as well as per protocol throughout feed season
- Weigh and load cattle for shipping
- Assist in general labor jobs
- Self-Motivated and have good verbal communication skills
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Seeding/Silage and Harvest participation
- Assist with calving and monitoring of commercial herd
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Livestock experience and/or farm background
- Must be comfortable on a horse
- Self-Motivated
- Good attitude – Must be a Team Player
- Must be able to learn on-site
- An interest in developing knowledge of livestock disease and treatment

COW/CALF AND RANCH MANAGEMENT POSITION: (position filled)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking the right person, preferably a couple to oversee a 1000 head cow/calf operation in Lundar, Manitoba. This position is fulltime with accommodations provided.
Cow/calf experience is mandatory. A minimum of 5 years experience (or very solid references if less than 5 years), with calving, herd health, paddock moves, haying and baling. This person would report regularly to management and be responsible for providing health records and accounting of expenses to main office in Saskatchewan.
Horses would be a accommodated for and an asset to the applicant, although an ATV is provided.
